Chess classes begin after school on Mondays (times below) and are once a week for one hour.
Registration, please click on the paypal payment link and put your name and the child’s name and grade in the message box.
You will get a payment confirmation email and a link to complete registration.
2025-2026 Special addition online app * chessking* This app will be used alongside the class and club activities. While optional for most, it is required for club members, students who will be competing, and those looking to accelerate their game. The app helps students by monitoring their online activity and progress, and it will be incorporated into their progress reports to provide more comprehensive feedback.

Basic Chess Class (Beginners and Novice Players):
- Schedule: Mondays from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM
- Focus: Introducing chess fundamentals, strategies, and tactics.
- Board (playing field) * Pawn * King * Queen * Rook * Bishop * Knight * en passant and promotion
- Eligibility: This class warmly welcomes all students without prior chess knowledge.

Advanced Chess Class (Club/Tournament Chess):
- Schedule: Mondays from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM
- Focus: Tailored for experienced players with knowledge of Classical or Giveaway chess.
- Expansion of Board (playing field) * Pawn * King * Queen * Rook * Bishop * Night (Knight) en passant and promotion algebraic notation,
- Quad Tournament Format: A dynamic and competitive setting with 4 players at each table.
- Eligibility: Students familiar with Classical or Giveaway chess are eligible to participate.
Dual Enrollment Option: Passionate chess enthusiasts have the option to join both classes, benefiting from a comprehensive chess learning experience.
