Kindergarten through 8th grade unrated chess players can enroll in this tournament by completing these two steps:

 All players must enroll by Tuesday, February 24, 2026. This gives us time to group the players and fully plan the event.

This is not a chess lesson, but a tournament directed by Kaptain Kirk (Kenneth Kirkland) and hosted at DaVinci Academy. Players will be grouped by age and ability as much as possible. Current and alumni KKChess students are encouraged to give it a try! 

Students who have not studied with KKChess but who already know how to play and are not yet ranked in the United States Chess Federation are also eligible to join. Please complete the sign-up form to ensure your player meets the criteria before submitting payment. 

The tournament is open to children from any school, so it’s also OK to invite your friends. Space is limited, so enroll soon to reserve your seat in the games!
