Kaptain Kirk has been teaching, coaching and tournament directing for over 20 years to students, adults and seniors. WHY SUCH SUCCESS?
I have a unique approach to teaching chess. The Kaptain Kirk way means that children learn to enjoy the game of chess in an academic atmosphere while having fun. My chess program is an after-school enrichment program, not merely recreational.
SCHEDULE
Chess classes begin after school on Tuesday (times below) and are once a week for one hour. Class time is spent studying chess tactics and strategy to promote critical and abstract thinking.
DESCRIPTIONS
CHESS CLASS: Fundamentals of chess – board, pieces, moves, rules, strategies – openings and endings.
